A first-edition printing of Arthur Edwin Bye's "Pots and Pans or Studies in Still-Life Painting," published by Princeton University Press in 1921. Bye's aim in producing this work was to remedy the fact that no books had been published on the subject of still-life painting previously. On the inside cover of the book is a beautiful pen drawing of an old man along with the name 'Richard Rogers.' Possibly done by someone of that name, possibly addressed to someone of that name. It's a great copy of this work by any means. Contains many plates of photographs of still-life paintings.
Condition: Very good. Very minor wear to spine, some rough edges to pages. Still has cloth protector for image beside inside title page. Pen art as described above, along with some small penciling on next page.
